After 7 successful years, in 2010 SoundLAB released its 7th curated project edition featuring the best soundartists on earth.

SoundLAB started in 2004 as a media art project created by Agricola de Cologne, dedicated to soundart which is representing according to its creator one of the relevant and most interesting expressions in digital art, although he was not a creator of soundart himself.

Agricola de Cologne completed meanwhile conceptually SoundLAB as a media art project and international platform for sonic art, and from 1 January 2012 on SoundLAB will become an historical monument of digital art open to the public as part of “Le Musee di-visioniste – the new museum of networked art”

SoundLAB VII – soundCELEBRATION
will be released on 1 September 2010, the 7th edition of SoundLAB in sequence since 2004, celebrating soundart at it’s best on occasion of the 10th anniversáry of [NewMediaArtProjectNetwork]||cologne
as the highlight of 7 years promoting soundart as a creative form of digital art.

During 2010, SoundLAB Cologne and its activities will be part of NewMediaFest’2010 – 10 Years [NewMediaArtProjectNetwork]:||cologne – global heritage of digital culture.

Besides launching SoundLAB VII in March 2010, SoundLAB will spotlight during the entire year soundart and soundartists participating in the past 6 SoundLAB editions in individual features.

SoundLAB – sonic art project environments
is happy to launch the call for its next edition to be part of this anniversary celebrations, entitled:

SoundLAB VII – soundCELEBRATION
sound compositions made for the 10th anniversary!

For its 7th edition, planned to be launched in March 2010,
SoundLAB would like to celebrate the power of
sound as a tool for artistic creations and communications
on occasion of the 10th anniversary of the global network
it is embedded in and invites soundartists, musicians and composers
to create for the 10th anniversary a special sound composition.

On all the divers platforms of this network, a lot of activities and new projects will be launched.

For this special occasion, SoundLAB will release in the beginning of September a the new call for SoundlAB VII inviting sound artists , musicians and composers to compose a special sound piece for SoundLAB.

It is a pleasure to announce that your work “SoundLAB VI – soundPOOL” has been selected to be presented in FILE Hipersonica Participants that will be part of the exhibition FILE 2009 – Electronic Language International Festival in Sao Paulo.

The event will take place at SESI’ Cultural Centre, located at Av. Paulista, 1313, Sao Paulo, Brazil. It will be hold from July 27th to August 30th, 2009.
